DTG
What is DTG?
DTG, or Direct-to-Garment printing, is a decoration method where a specialized garment printer applies ink directly onto fabric. It works similarly to how an inkjet printer prints on paper, but instead it is designed to print detailed artwork straight onto clothing such as t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and other cotton-based garments.

DTG printing is especially popular for designs that have a lot of detail, shading, or many colors because it does not require separate screens for each color like screen printing does. This makes it a strong option for small runs, one-off pieces, sample production, and print-on-demand orders. It also gives the print a softer feel on the garment compared to some other decoration methods, especially on high-cotton fabrics.

The main advantages of DTG are its ability to produce high-resolution, full-color prints, low setup requirements, and flexibility for small quantity orders. Its limitations are that it generally works best on cotton or cotton-rich garments, can be more expensive than screen printing for large bulk runs, and often requires careful pretreatment and curing for the best final result.
