Screen Printing

What is Screen Printing?

Screen printing on clothing is a decoration method where ink is pushed through a mesh screen onto fabric to create a design. Each color in the artwork is typically applied using its own separate screen, making this process especially effective for bold graphics, logos, and large designs on garments like t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and uniforms. It is one of the most widely used printing methods in the apparel industry for both promotional and retail merchandise.

Screen printing is especially popular for designs that need strong color coverage, durability, and a clean, vibrant appearance. It works very well for simple to moderately detailed artwork, especially when producing larger quantities, because once the screens are prepared, the printing process becomes very efficient. Compared to other decoration methods, screen printing is often preferred for bulk orders due to its consistency and cost-effectiveness at higher volumes.

The main advantages of screen printing are its vibrant results, long-lasting print quality, and efficiency for larger production runs. It can produce bold, opaque prints on a wide range of garments and fabrics. Its limitations are that it usually requires more setup than other methods, is less flexible for small orders, and can become more complex or costly when a design includes many colors, gradients, or highly detailed photographic elements.
